Senior Financial Analyst - Mortgage Operations
- Provide centralized financial support and project management for operations unit. Responsible for the interpretation of financials and providing ad hoc analysis and research when needed throughout the planning, forecasting and month end close. Create new templates and reporting methods to ensure that data is efficiently and effectively summarized.
- Researches and documents organizational reviews, workflow analysis, and management/staff analysis. Provide financial reporting and analytics results to senior management. Ability to communicate across and up the organization.
- Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make daily operations in the area more efficient. Responsible for budget/expense management, reporting, forecasting and profitability analysis for operations unit. Assists in ensuring staffing levels and capacity are appropriate to meet production requirements.
- Develops, analyzes and implements new processes/procedures to improve operating efficiency and to ensure timeliness and accuracy of workflow. Responsible for the day-to-day resolution of complex problems and the execution of complex transactions for the operations unit including: financials and financial variance reporting, daily, monthly and YTD metrics and business continuity.

Quality Control Manager
SCOPE/KNOWLEDGE OF WORK:
- Understands the purpose and function of Quality Control requirements, and how to implement a Quality Control Program in the organization to ensure the adequate protection of the organizations assets; in particular its mortgage lending processes.
- Understands the mission, culture, general operating functions and quality control needs of the organization, its unique operating environment, operating risks, and available quality control strategies and tactics to reduce and remove risk exposures.
- Knows the organization’s policy requirements and the regulatory requirements for real estate lending and how to assess the accuracy, reliability, and appropriateness of each document, procedure and practice involved in each individual loan.
PROBLEM ANALYSIS/RESOLUTION:
- Regularly examines, in detail, the operational policies and practices of the organization that impact this particular job.
- Observes how the organization utilizes technology and how it utilizes people in its production and delivery system and develops improvements to resource utilization.
- Develops cost/benefit reports on selected operational functions to determine the most efficient and effective methods of operating these functions currently, and into the future.Involves people in problem analysis/resolution to improve their problem-solving methods and skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Performing pre and post funding audits of loans to ensure compliance with investor guidelines.
- Prepares Quality Control procedures and manuals that establish, in writing, the quality control standard methods and procedures for specific lending functions of the organization.
- Reviewing, evaluating and synthesizing data to confirm loan viability and salability.
- Maintains complete and accurate daily, weekly, monthly and other periodic records of quality control protocols, practices, checks and procedures.
- Identifying risk issues and potential fraud.
- Analyzing loans with guideline exceptions and determining if approval is warranted.
- Auditing Underwriting operations and loan files for quality and accuracy.
- Recommending Underwriting quality and general operational improvements based on review of findings.
- Preparing, distributing and presenting reports of Audit findings to identify exceptions, discrepancies, trends and recommendations.
- Providing input on Underwriting processes, procedures and/or new approaches.
- Independently conducting full and comprehensive audits and evaluations of the highly complex, high-risk loan files—with heavy focus on pricing, compliance and investor requirements.
- Ensuring loan quality, adherence to policies and guidelines, business validity and salability.Ø Determining corrective action.
- Determining loan-quality impact and quantifying anticipated financial loss.
- Resolving investors’ concerns and issues related to non-performing loans.
- Determining Quality-Control trends and issues.Ø Participating in ERM committee mattersØ Recommending Underwriting policy and Training curriculum enhancements.
- Coaching others on Underwriting Quality-Control issues, problems and/or questions.
- Regularly exercising discretion and independent judgment on critical business-matters that have a significant financial impact.
A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- 15 years of Mortgage Lending Experience with at least 5 years QC management experience.
- Extensive understanding of Processing, Underwriting and Closing procedures.
- Extensive understanding of Underwriting systems and their interdependencies.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Advanced customer-interface skills.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Position Description - Post Closing/Insuring AVP
Hire, Train and Supervise the daily activity and productivity of the following positions:
- Funder/Closers – Responsible to fund all loans that are closing. Work under extreme stringent deadlines daily.
- File Coordinators – Responsible for the receipt and tracking of all closing files released to the Post-Closing Department. Oversee the entire Post-Closing File Room.
- New Loan Set Up Coordinators – Responsible for the preparation of the loan files for imaging and providing set up to all closed loans for Loan Servicing Department.
- Mortgage Insurance Specialist- Responsible to insure all loans with Private Mortgage Insurance as set up correctly and the coverage for the loan program is accurate. Payment of the FHA MIP & VA FUNDING FEE.
- Oversee the receipt of loan files from File Management. Coordinate with Servicing to insure loans are accurately set up on the Servicing System.
- Reconcile accounts with Accounting department and processing all incoming checks for closed loans.
- Insure all wires are disbursed in a timely manner and reconcile with accounting
- Insure deadlines are met for New Loan Set Up Packages
- Monthly audits of all the above job functions to insure deadlines are being met by each group.
- Answer questions from entire department staff of Post Closing, not just the employee’s that report directly to me.
- Receive incoming calls from borrowers, other departments for closed loan issues.
- Help with department projects as required.
- Perform supervisory duties for employees such as collect and review timesheets, conduct annual reviews, approve leave and maintain vacation schedules
- Work on polices and procedures for the different job functions.
- Crosstrain employee’s for coverage of other Job Functions
- Assist the Tax Department with research and collection of tax penalties.
- Assist with other projects as assigned depending on volume
